  5. Aw, so smushy and wonderful. I bet she smells great too. Not a real lively gal though, is she?

My newest niece, Ella (7 months) was just christened this weekend and the priest called up her great grand parents (my grandparents) to help baptize the baby. There were a few other great-grandparents with other babies as well and I was shocked at how young they all were.
You may have noticed on facebook my mother posted a photo of herself with the baby, and the 4 of us (her daughters) and someone politely commented "which one is the grandmother?". (by the way: that's a compliment to my mother, and an insult to the 5 other women in the photo, lady!). My mother innocently replied that her mother had left a few minutes before the photo taking started in earnest - totally forgetting that in fact, in this scenario, she's the grandma (she's a grandma 4 times now but goes by Nana).
You, dear Lorna, look terrific with a baby in your arms, but I struggle to think it's possible that you're a great grandmother though indeed you are GREAT.
